UM Conference on Undergraduate Research

Since 2001, The University of Montana has hosted an annual conference on Undergraduate Research, organized by the in collaboration with the Davidson Honors College, and graciously sponsored by the President and the Provost. UMCUR provides a great opportunity for undergraduates of all majors to present their research and creative scholarship in a public forum. The conference is free and open to the public. All members of the UM campus community are encouraged to attend and participate.

The day-long conference offers opportunities for University of Montana students of all majors to present their research and creative scholarship through oral presentations, posters, performances, and exhibits. In addition, students are welcome to organize group presentations, where students within or across disciplines present roundtable discussions on their collaborative and interdisciplinary research activities.

The UM Graduate Student Research Conference brings together graduate students, community members, and faculty from a variety of disciplines. It offers graduate students an opportunity to gain valuable professional experience by presenting their work in a formal and intellectually supportive environment. It also fosters greater understanding among graduate students and faculty of the various disciplines' approaches to and methods of research. The conference program includes oral presentations and poster presentations, a complimentary lunch with a panel discussion, and a post-session reception.
