Jackie McGiffert describes her childhood in Pennsylvania, her father and his experience during World War One, her own experience working in a war plant during World War Two in between semesters of college, and her attitudes toward war. She discusses her decision to move to Missoula, Montana, in order to be a journalist and how she met her husband. She also talks about the beginnings of her peace activism which prompted her subsequent involvement with Missoula Women for Peace group, and her disagreement with Jeannette Rankin over whether or not the United States’ involvement in World War Two was justified.
