Description
This handwritten entry contains drafts of two poems: "The Outer Banks" and "To a Sailor." "The Outer Banks" was published in For the Four Corners, Goedicke's second book of poems in 1976. In the prior entry, Goedicke expresses concern over the fact that her lover, "R," had yet to arrive at the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Patricia Goedicke, wife of author Leonard Wallace Robinson, was a poet and professor of Creative Writing at the Unviersity of Montana from 1981-2003. Goedicke authored 13 books of poetry from 1968-2008, the last book published posthumously.
