Description
Political cartoon by Moco Yardley titled "In the Viet Back Yard", 3-22-1970. The cartoon depicts three characters that represent Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia. The Cambodia character is depicted decapitated with the Thailand and Laos characters depicted carrying weapons supplied by the United States. Mansfield is depicted in the lower left corner saying, "We should stay out of it!... And get out of the rest of S.E. Asia as soon as possible." The lower right corner depicts the foot of a character meant to depict the Central Interference Agency (Pun on Central Intelligence Agency) as it leaves the picture.
