Description

Robert Moffitt describes life as a smokejumper at the Cave Junction, Oregon base in 1948 and 1949. He discusses his training and the facilities at that base. Moffitt talks about Cliff Marshall, the manager of the base, and the disciplined manner with which he ran the smokejumper outfit.
