The 2016 Browning Symposium: Sexual Assault on Campus was held on Friday, September 30, 2016. It featured keynote speakers United States Attorney Michael Cotter and Montana Attorney General Tim Fox, both of whom helped facilitate an agreement between the Department of Justice and the Missoula County Attorney’s Office regarding campus sexual assaults at the University of Montana. Three panel discussions that were held that day featured discussions between local and national experts on Title IX, criminal law, due process, and campus sexual assault.
Following the symposium, the Montana Law Review published transcripts of the keynote addresses and articles from a number of the panelists in a special symposium issue that can be found at https://scholarship.law.umt.edu/mlr/vol78/iss1/.
