Description

Celadon porcelain plate with a design of Senryo (a holly like plant, they are red and in Japan are considered a lucky plant for New Year) in the center in various shades of green, brown , and red. The rim of the plate has Senryo branches at four points surrounded by a blue lined rectangle and a yellow dotted rectangular shape at the lower right corner of the blue lined rectangle. On the bottom of the plate, where the rim meets the vase, the yellow dotted design is repeated around the whole of the plate with dark blue lines. There is an artists signature at the bottom of the plate.
