Abstract

It can be difficult to let others know that you are struggling, but it's important to talk openly and share your needs with others. Maclean R. Birmingham, a person with Prader-Willi Syndrome who is a self-advocate and serves on the Rural Institute’s Consumer Advisory Council, explains the benefits in starting that conversation yourself and finding freedom and success in openly asking others for their assistance.
