This collection includes seven interviews detailing the life and career of wilderness and conservation activist Stewart Brandborg. The interviews were conducted in 2013 by Bill LaCroix. Brandborg discusses his relationships with Howard Zahniser of the Wilderness Society and Charle Callison of the National Wildlife Federation as well as his interactions with many other wilderness advocates. Brandborg talks at length about the struggle to get the 1964 Wilderness Act passed and the impact it had on wilderness preservation efforts. The original interviews are held as Oral History collection OH 459 at Archives and Special Collections, Mansfield Library, University of Montana-Missoula.
