Description
Anna Keeling Woodruff describes her experiences attending the Fairplay School in Ravalli County, Montana, during the early 1900s. She briefly discusses her parents’ origins and how they ended up in Montana, then moves on to her time in school, remembering each of her teachers. Woodruff talks about the expansion of the Fairplay School as well as the pranks the children played on their teachers and the activities they participated in, such as musicals. She recalls how classrooms functioned with teachers teaching multiple grades at the same time and in the same room, and she details the different teaching styles of each of her teachers.
