Shoemaker recalls life in Missoula from 1921 to 1985. He talks of his father's work with the Forest Service and the work of his mother, Lillian Easton Shoemaker, with the Salvation Army during the Depression. He speaks about his roles in higher education, both earning his degrees and later teaching at the University of Montana.
