Description
Daniel Kohr recounts how his parents moved to Garnet, Montana, in 1945 or 1946. He talks about them moving away from Garnet in 1951 only to return for the summers. He discusses his relatives who lived there. He describes helping his father, who was a partner in the Mountain View mine and two other mines. Kohr describes the individual relatives who came to Garnet to work the mines and visit his family. He reminisces about their activities which included hunting, fishing, and gardening in order to remain self-sufficient. Kohr concludes by telling stories about the Dahls, and describing the merchandise left in Frank Davey’s story and the furnishings in the hotel and the blacksmith’s shop.
