Megan Morris describes her upbringing in Missoula and the part that Griz sports and the University of Montana has played in the community since she was young. She discusses her experiences attending George Washington University and living in Washington D.C. during 9/11 and the anthrax scare and how these events influenced her decision to return to Montana and leave the East Coast. Morris describes the importance of sports to Missoula and the up- and downsides college sports bring to the community. James Been-Rodriguez was an undergraduate student participating in the Griz Nation Oral History Project as part of the Griz130 History Initiative.
