Description
Bruce Jeffrey (BJ) Worth discusses his childhood moving around a lot for his father’s work and his desire to return to Montana. When he arrived as a student at the University of Montana, Worth learned to skydive, becoming a member of UM’s skydiving team, the Silver-Tipped Skydivers. Worth discusses traveling to large skydiving tournaments, practicing jumps in the Flathead Valley for a scene in a James Bond movie, and traveling all over the world for skydiving events. Finally, he discusses his frustration with the end of skydiving events in Missoula and what the sport has meant to him over the last 50+ years. Sam Tyrrel was an undergraduate student working on the Griz Nation Oral History Project as part of the Griz130 History Initiative.
