Description

Greta Buehler (nee Koss) reflects on her journey through sports, beginning as a multi-sport athlete growing up in Malta, Montana, and college, where she played basketball for the Lady Griz. She highlights her evolution as a player from red-shirting to eventual success and professional career in the WNBA. She shares her transition from athlete to coach, balancing coaching and teaching with raising her young family. She discusses her current role as basketball liaison for the Montana High School Association, where she manages the administrative side of the sport. She reflects on parenting her son, Austin, a Griz football player, and the unique perspectives of being an athlete, coach, and parent. Beuhler also highlights the enduring camaraderie of the Lady Griz alumni and her deep gratitude for the community, memories, and pride associated with Griz Nation. Tyrrel was an undergraduate student working on the Griz Nation Oral History Project as part of the Griz130 History Initiative.
