This collection of interviews with Henry James “Jim” Cusker detail his work as a farmer-rancher, science teacher, and land conservationist in Missoula, Montana. The interviews were conducted in 2019 by Liam Cody. Cusker describes growing up on a small farm-ranch in Grass Valley, Montana, learning about land management and ecology from his father, then working as a high school science teacher for many years, while also advocating for the preservation of open land in Montana. The original interviews are held as Oral History collection OH 469 at Archives and Special Collections, Mansfield Library, University of Montana-Missoula.
