Abstract
I describe a dynamic game-theoretic model of the competitive harvesting of a marine fish stock, whose demographics are affected by an erratic and poorly understood climatic regime. I trace the historical development of this model genre, sketch its analysis, and comment on its implications for conservation of the biological resources of the high seas.
