Abstract

Targetbase, is a Division of the Omnicom Group one the world’s leading marketing and communications firms. Targetbase provides marketing analytics and other business analytic solutions by connecting data and using it to generate intelligence for some of the most famous brands in the world including, Acura, DirecTV, General Mills, GlaxoSmithKline, Honda, Shopko and many others.

Chad Bivins is the Director of Strategic Business Analysis for Targetbase. Chad has been with Targetbase for 11 years and works remotely in Missoula where he enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle. He holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Economics from the University of North Texas.

Tom Stockburger is a retired IT industry veteran with more than 38 years of experience with progressively more complex assignments in consulting, sales, sales management, pre-sale technical support management and business development at some of the world’s leading technology companies, including Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAS Institute, and Unisys. He has consulted and conducted training for HP, IBM, Microsoft, young companies and start-ups including several Missoula-based technology start-ups. He has run a $170M division of a Fortune 1000 corporation.

During his tenure at SAS Institute, Tom led client engagements using business analytics to discover trends, patterns, affinities and other insights providing fact-based decision support systems.

Tom is a University of Montana graduate and former ASUM President who recently returned to Montana after 27 years in Colorado. He has taught several Professional Development classes through the University’s School of Extended and Lifelong Learning and delivered guest lectures in the School of Business Administration and Department of Mathematical Sciences.

Currently, Tom is conducting a volunteer project for President Engstrom centered on the use of Alumni data for new student recruiting.
