Edwin Rosenkranz recalls his career as a bassoonist and university professor from the 1940s to 1990s. He remembers his beginnings in New York, his early work with the Tulsa Philharmonic, and his first school and university jobs in Wyoming and Colorado before coming to the University of Montana. Rosenkranz discusses reed-making, instrument maintenance, and musical expression. He discusses his hobbies and practice routines, including performing with other University of Montana professors in the Montana Woodwind Quintet.
