Description
Walter Gnose discusses William R. Allen and his reputation throughout Wise River, Montana and Anaconda, Montana. He describes the Anaconda Mine and the Montana Southern Railroad during the Great Depression, as well as his day-to-day experiences living in Wise River. Gnose also discusses his decision to go into the grocery business, the opening of the Gnose Mercantile Company, and how the grocery business has changed throughout the 20th century.
