Description
Arthur Deschamps, Jr. records his thoughts on the water vote of September 1985, a vote to decide if the water system in Missoula, Montana, should be under city or private control. In his argument in favor of private control, he discusses the history of water system ownership, discussing Higgins, Worden, Pettee, the Missoula Water Company, the Missoula Public Service Company, and the Mountain Water Company. Deschamps also discusses the Rattlesnake watershed, sections 852403, 852404, and 852405 of the Annotated Code of Montana Law, the water needs of St. Patrick’s Hospital, and his own personal experiences with water.
