ENGLISH DESCRIPTION: The Rural Institute for Inclusive Communities is one of the National Network of Public Health Institute's Technical Assistance Partners supporting the National Initiative to Address COVID-19 Health Disparities Among Populations at High-Risk and Underserved, Including Racial and Ethnic Minority Populations and Rural Communities.
In April and May 2024, the Rural Institute, together with partners including The Partnership for Inclusive Disaster Strategies, National Council on Independent Living (NCIL), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Equitable Cities, the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), the Research and Training Center on Disability in Rural Communities, Summit Independent Living, and other stakeholders held a four-part webinar series on Disability Inclusion in Public Health.
