Greg Lakes discusses his tenure as the head editor of Headwaters News in the late 1990s and early 2000s. After working for the Missoulian and the Ravalli Republic, Lakes edited the O’Connor Center’s newsletter. He explains how Headwaters News reflected the Center’s mission to analyze the Rocky Mountain West. According to Lakes, it emphasized various topics including development and politics. He then goes into detail explaining his responsibilities preparing the newsletter for publication. Lakes also reflects on how newspapers and journalism adjusted to internet-age.
