Interviewer
Erin Heaton
Description
Eros Moore (they/them) discusses their journey coming to identify as nonbinary and demisexual as well as the ways in which their identity has shaped their decisions. Eros describes how their identity has changed over time, reflecting on their personal experience and growth growing up in small-town Great Falls, Montana, and how that impacted their gender and sexual expression, leading to a delayed discovery of being queer and not finding that safe community of like-minded individuals until later. Eros’ work as a camp counselor, experience at the University of Montana, and experience at the TransVisible leadership retreat all demonstrate their commitment to staying true to themselves, which ultimately led to their decision that to be safe, they plan to leave Montana.
