Description
Charles Viviano recalls his experiences as a smokejumper in 1953 and 1954. He describes training at the Nine Mile Ranger Station in Montana and compares it the training he received in the military. Viviano talks about the smokejumper operation in Yellowstone National Park, especially the facility and equipment used. He also offers his thoughts about women smokejumpers.
