Herb Fischer and Robert Reid reminisce about the rookie smokejumper class of 1957 in Missoula, Montana, and about their fire jumps across the western United States. They also discuss project work, the future of the smokejumper program, injuries, and a plane crash at the Moose Creek Ranger Station in August 1959.
