In this interview, Neal Wiegert talks about his more than 33 years working for the University of Montana. Wiegert attended college at the University of Montana, earning a degree in fine arts, and it was there that he learned about graphic design. He worked for the university through internships, which later gave him exposure to apply and work in positions, including as an art director and a graphic designer. He describes the technical aspects used in graphics design and printing over his tenure, both before and after the advent of computers. He discusses some of his projects and logos he created, including a famous bear named “Grizwald” for the University of Montana. And finally, he chronicles the evolution of the departments where he worked.
