Description
Eunice Hultman describes being raised in the Swan Valley of Montana, by her parents Babe and Eva Wilhelm who owned the 33 Bar Ranch near Holland Lake. Hultman discusses how she and her husband Buff ran the ranch from 1951 to 1974. She recalls growing up in Condon, Montana, during the 1920s, and attending the Roll and Pine Ridge Schools. She notes that when her parents moved into the Swan Valley her father traded their house in Butte, Montana, for a homestead in the Swan. Hultman mentions the buildings on the homestead, including the Holland Lake Lodge, and how much work her parents undertook to run the ranch. She tells how she and her husband, Buff, ran a packing business from the ranch.
