Description

In this interview, Patrick Toyne shares that he was born in Billings, Montana, but he grew up in Hardin, Montana. Toyne enlisted in the Marine Corps in approximately 2016 and did his basic training in San Diego, California. He attended the School of Infantry, and his Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) was an assaultman, which dealt with rockets; however, the Marine Corps discontinued that MOS since the engineers duplicated it. The newly created MOS that Toyne was a part of consisted of drones and robots. Toyne served on a few ships where he traveled to Okinawa and Australia. He was assigned to another ship and traveled to Hawaii, Guam, Okinawa, India, Kuwait, and Thailand. The final rank that Toyne had when he left the Marine Corps was corporal. At the time of the interview, Toyne was attending the University of Montana through the GI Bill and getting ready to switch his major from pre-pharm to history.
