Description
Tommy Caruthers describes his involvement in the Boone and Crockett Club, including the planning and organization of the Club’s centennial celebration in Dallas, Texas. Caruthers recalls the various committees on which he served such as the Historical Committee, Strategic Planning, the Records Committee, Hunting and Ethics, and the Grants and Aids Committee. He talks about the responsibilities of these committees and their role in Club operations. Caruthers also discusses the relationship that the Club has developed with various universities, specifically through the Grants and Aid Committee, which works to provide funding to graduate- and doctoral-level students who are studying wildlife management and conservation. He explains how this development has fostered a strong relationship between the Club and the University of Montana.
