Abstract

Kenobi's Death Korps is an oral history of Bravo Company, First Battalion, International Legion for the Defense of Ukraine, assembled from extended interviews conducted inside the unit over fifteen months of active combat. The work records twelve foreign volunteer soldiers through verbatim testimony preserved in each subject's native English register.

The work deploys a three-register formal architecture — observational interstitial prose, bold-marked interview questions, and unmediated testimony. It demonstrates the intimate witness position — sustained present-tense embedding within a community under fire, without retrospective processing or the editorial conversion of experience into argument.
