Abstract
The Mission Mountains, suite for orchestra, is a three-movement composition without definite form. It is descriptive in style and is called a suite (not a dance form) because it contains several movements about a common subject.
The composer felt that little or nothing had been done toward publicizing the many natural splendors of Montana through music and that this one factor would be enough to justify the composition.
