This collection includes two interviews detailing the history of the Friends of the Library organization. The interviews were conducted in 1984 and 1991 by Dale Johnson. The interviewees discuss the creation and early years of the Friends of the Library, the fundraising banquets the organization held, and the relationship that the organization had with various University of Montana presidents and staff members. The original interviews are held as Oral History Collection OH 141 at Archives and Special Collections, Mansfield Library, University of Montana-Missoula.
