Abstract
This portfolio reflects my growth throughout the MSW program and the experiences that have shaped the kind of social worker I am becoming. Sitting on a fishing boat in Bristol Bay, thinking about the question, What’s love got to do with it? Throughout this portfolio, I explore that question through my education, practicum experiences, advocacy work, and personal reflections. Using the program competencies and elements as a framework, I connect what I have learned about clinical practice, social justice, policy, leadership, and community work. More than anything, this portfolio shows how I have come to understand social work as work rooted in love.
