UM History Professor Wade Davies discusses his personal and academic involvements with the history of sports and their relationship to communities. Davies details his upbringing in Indiana and his first introductions to sports, along with his first interests in Native American history which eventually led him to their connection with sports. Davies reflects on his past 20 years in Missoula and his role as the co-director of the Griz130 initiative. Interviewer Sam Jackson was an undergraduate student participating in the Griz Nation Oral History Project as part of the Griz130 History Initiative.
