Description
Julie Williams discusses growing up in rural Livingston, Montana, as a queer person and how the lack of support has impacted her adult life. Williams describes how such experiences led to her moving away for college to explore different communities, which ultimately helped her accept her own identity as a bisexual woman. Julie’s current relationship with a man has been influenced by her experiences as a woman in the current political atmosphere as well as her parental decisions regarding her daughter. Williams describes residing in Livingston, as well as California and New Mexico. Williams shares the current atmosphere in Montana, and her fight for LGBTQ+ rights within her own town but also describes her considerations about leaving the state as the best potential way to raise her daughter.
