Kenn Smith discusses his career smokejumping from 1955 to 1971, mostly based in Idaho City and McCall, Idaho. In particular, he describes the duties of a squad leader, spotter, and foreman. Smith also comments on the changes in the smokejumper organization from the 1950s to the 1970s, including the equipment and smokejumper attitudes.
