Ken Taylor describes his experiences smokejumping at the North Cascades Smokejumper Base at Winthrop, Washington, from 1962 to 1966. In particular, he talks about the training, the equipment used, and his experiences fighting fires. Taylor also describes the one serious injury he sustained as a smokejumper.
