Description

Edward Case describes working as a smokejumper from 1946 to 1948 in McCall, Idaho. He discusses being a member of the first group of smokejumpers after World War Two, which consisted primarily of military veterans. He talks about his fellow smokejumpers, their camaraderie, his training in Missoula, Montana, and his experiences on several fires.
