Eugene Pitts talks about his experiences working as a smokejumper at Seeley Lake, Montana, in 1942. He discusses the training and his fellow smokejumpers, who were all preparing to enter the service. Pitts describes how being a smokejumper helped him as a fighter pilot during World War Two, and he reminisces about serving as a Navy pilot in the South Pacific.
