Description
In this interview, Logan Cook talks about his work at the Western Montana Mental Health Center, particularly with clients having substance use disorders. Cook speaks about implementing changes to their services due to the COVID-19 pandemic and how they can connect virtually with their clients using Zoom and other technologies. Group therapy groups also successfully use these technologies. For those clients who do not have access, appointments using phone calls and access to Zoom rooms at their office locations are available. Cook also discusses how the solution of only having virtual appointments can contribute to the isolation clients have from not having face-to-face meetings and increased substance use. Cook says he thinks virtual and in-person appointments will continue being offered, including virtual group educational classes.
