Black and white sumie style painting. Black ink on white paper bordered by a cream brocade and mounted on a green and gold brocade. The scroll is weighted by a dark stained wooden dowel. The scroll depicts a bamboo forest in the background with a river in the lower left corner sweeping across the bottom of the painting.
