Description
Samuel Webb recounts childhood memories of hunting and his introduction to the outdoors by his family. He speaks of popular outfitters, hunters and guides with whom he hunted during the early 1930s. Webb recalls different trophies that he and his father acquired over the years including moose, bear, goat, and sheep. He recalls different rules developed by the Boone and Crockett Club to address exploitation in aircraft hunting practices. Webb mentions his role in organizing the first scoring committee and the record keeping program. He concludes the interview by mentioning different groups—Natural History Museum, New York Zoological Society, National Collection of Heads and Horns, etcetera—affiliated with the Club and and how they influenced the Club’s development through the years.
