Description
Sherman Gray discusses the Boone and Crockett Club, how his father was a member, and how he became a member in 1967. Gray talks about his principal role as the treasurer of the organization for 20 years. He explains how this role changed over time, becoming more complicated and requiring more time. Gray also discusses the Club’s income, which he said mostly comes from publishing The Records of North American Big Game every five to seven years. Gray shares his opinion about the Club’s recent upswing in activity, old controversies that led to losing members, the headquarters move to Missoula, Montana, and several other events and issues that the Club faced during his time as a member. Gray also reflects on his association with the Club and shares his thoughts on the Club’s future.
