Jestrab Lecture

The Public Land and Resources Law Review invites you to our biennial Frank & Elvira Jestrab Distinguished Lecture on Water, delivered by Professor Adell Amos from the University of Oregon. The lecture is entitled State Water Code Reform: Lessons for Oregon from Across the West.

Professor Amos is an accomplished water law scholar and practitioner, who teaches at the University of Oregon School of Law. She is currently working with the State of Oregon on reforming its water codes generally. As such, she is surveying the regulatory schemes in other western states in order to advise the Oregon government on how it should structure its new system. Professor Amos's lecture will focus on what has worked and what has not in other states' water law systems, with particular emphasis on the example set by the State of Montana and the applicability of these various schemes to Oregon's unique situation.
