Prospective Staff
Thank you for your interest in writing on to the Public Land & Resources Law Review. Our write on process is open to current University of Montana School of Law 1Ls and 2Ls. The Incoming Editorial Board releases the cases for the write on by the end of the of the fall semester. Cases selected for the write on process typically concern different areas of the law the PLRLR covers. Generally, these areas include: Water and Air Law, Public Lands, Environmental Law, Energy Law, Natural Resource Law, Wildlife Law, and Federal Indian Law.
We will host informational meetings between the release and the due date (usually in mid-April) to go over the write on process, our expectations, and to generally discuss the PLRLR and the benefits of law review. Any student interested in writing on should refer to the PLRLR Write On Moodle page. We will post the most current information on the write on process, the approved cases, sample case notes, as well as instructions on how to write a case note there.
The approved cases will be published on our Blog. Please feel free to contact the PLRLR with any questions you may have. After the cases are released, please direct any question about the write on process to the current Editorial Board.
Thank you for your interest. We encourage you to write on and look forward to reading your submission.
